The Original Oyster House, with the support of Royal Cup Coffee, wins the anagural People’s Choice Award for Favorite Restaurant at the 7th Annual Snowbird Fest held in the Orange Beach Convention Center.
The Snowbird Fest People’s Choice Award, tabulated by paper ballot, included several categories such as favorite restaurant, golf resort, health care facility, rental manager and a favorite overall. Snowbirds selected one exhibiter from each category. Snowbird Fest Event Coordinator Alison Daily commented, “Sponsors like the Original Oyster House help make our event memorable for snowbirds by serving award-winning cheesy grits and blackened shrimp and getting others involved including their brand of brew, Royal Cup coffee. This served up with Southern hospitality makes them a huge favorite at this event.”
The Original Oyster House teamed up with Royal Cup Coffee represetatives Drew Ard and Mason Hileman, who set up the official Royal Cup mobile coffee truck outside at the entrance of the event and served over 45 carafes of coffee inside the event.
Since 2010, Snowbird Fest has welcomed tens of thousands of winter visitors who participate in the one-day, four-hour event. At this year’s event there were an estimated 2300 snowbirds in attendance. They enjoyed free entertainment, as well as an opportunity to meet local businesses and attractions, research lodging options and try samples of delectable goodies from area restaurants.
