Original Oyster House restaurant to be featured on Man vs. Food episode this Summer

Gulf Shores, AL — The wildly popular Travel Channel series Man vs. Food made a stop at the Original Oyster House last week. Adam Richman, host of the show wanted to showcase the Gulf Coast area specifically Gulf Shores, Alabama to highlight the recovery of our area after the devastating oil spill last year.

Adam and his crew set up camp at the Original Oyster House last week to tape an episode of Man vs. Food to air sometime this summer. The new season begins June 1, 2011. He and Oyster House chef’s cooked dish after dish in our kitchen and ate like there was no tomorrow. He sampled our world famous Fisherman’s Pride platter (on the menu since we opened our doors in 1983) gumbo, cheese grits, turnip greens, Bourbon glazed Ahi tuna, shrimp scampi, oysters, stuffed crab and fried craw-fish tails. For dessert, you guessed it: key lime pie and chocolate chip peanut butter pie made fresh daily by our kitchen staff.

We are honored Man vs. Food chose us to feature and are so looking forward to seeing the episode air this summer.
