Please join us for a special tribute honoring older Americans and Veterans on Monday, May 28th at Hank Aaron Stadium.
The Mobile BayBears players will be wearing replica uniforms from Mobile’s 1903 baseball team, the “Oyster Grabbers”. Senior citizens and veterans will enjoy a pre-game picnic beginning at noon. The game starts at 2:05 p.m. and will feature a military roll-call and a 1928 airplane flyover.
Plus an Online Auction in May. 95 KSJ is sponsoring an online auction featuring high profile sports items and “Oyster Grabbers” jerseys. The auction will be linked on Mobile BayBears, The Original Oyster House and Senior Citizens Services websites. The auction closes at midnight Sunday, May 27th.
The Original Oyster House is also sponsoring a benefit day with music, prizes and dining specials for May 28th. Mobile BayBears players will be there following the game, available for photos and autographs. Ten percent of the proceeds from the Memorial Day sales will be donated to support the adult care program that serves older adults with Alzheimer’s diease and other aging related conditions.
